Information you give us. When you submit the consultation form, you provide your name, email address, and the details you choose to share about your matter (such as your country, your role, the foreign proceeding, and a summary). If you email us, we receive your message and address.
The AI eligibility assistant. When you use the on-site assistant, the messages you type are sent to a third-party AI provider (Google) to generate a response. Please do not enter confidential, privileged, or sensitive personal information into the assistant. It provides general information only.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in server logs for security and reliability. The site loads web fonts from Google, which may receive your IP address as part of that request. We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.
3. How we use information
We use the information you provide to: respond to your inquiry; assess whether U.S. discovery under 28 U.S.C. § 1782 may be available for your matter; communicate with you about a possible engagement; and operate, secure, and improve the site. 5. No attorney-client relationship; not confidential
Submitting the form, emailing us, or using the assistant does not create an attorney-client relationship, which arises only from a signed engagement agreement. Until then, information you send is not protected as a confidential attorney-client communication. Please do not send privileged or highly sensitive details until we have confirmed we can represent you (including a conflicts check).
6. Data retention
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business and legal records, and then dispose of it consistent with our records practices and applicable law. New York attorney-advertising rules require us to retain copies of certain advertising for a period of time.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email and web forms are not appropriate channels for highly sensitive information.
